Hummingbird Chronicles

I’ve officially entered my bird watching era. I thought it would come when I reached 55+ but here I am at 36 years old and embracing the birding!

A couple months ago I set up a hummingbird feeder and another feeder next to it for the other wild birds with birdseed. I got the birdseed at Ace Hardware at my local Hillcrest location. This is the seed I bought.

The hummingbird feeder is so gorgeous I got that from Amazon and it is hand blown glass!

It took probably 2-3 days until I started seeing birds come to my balcony. Now, I have them come so frequently and I have been taking photos of the hummingbirds who visit.

I think next time I will crank up my F-stop to get more of the whole bird in focus. These were all back lit around golden hour, but I can’t wait until I get the sun to hit them just right earlier in the day so I can see more of their colors! It’s cool to see the sun shine through their tiny wings though!
